RENAE'S STORY
Why I work in natural health
In my early twenties I was constantly exhausted, bloated, gaining weight despite eating well, and catching every illness going around. I knew something was not right. Then came the diagnosis that changed everything: papillary thyroid cancer, already spread to my lymph nodes. After surgery to remove my thyroid, I was handed a basic information sheet and sent on my way.

I was left with questions nobody could answer. How do you support a body that has lost an organ responsible for metabolism, energy, hormones, and digestion? That gap between what I had been through and the care I received sparked something in me.

That search for answers became a career. I enrolled in a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutritional Medicine at Endeavour College of Natural Health in Perth and immersed myself in understanding how food, nutrients, lifestyle, and the body's systems work together. During my studies I developed a deep clinical interest in thyroid health, gut function, hormones, and functional pathology, areas that continue to shape my practice today.

Today, Perth Nutrition & Natural Health was built from the experience of being a patient who felt confused, unsupported, and desperate for answers. My goal is to provide the support I wish I had received all those years ago.

CLINICAL FOCUS
Areas of health I am interested in
My clinical interests have been shaped by my own health journey as well as years of study and practice. I love supporting clients through complex health challenges with personalised, evidence-based nutrition plans that address the root cause rather than focusing on the symptom in isolation.

My areas of deepest clinical interest include women's health in particular PCOS, menstrual irregularities, and hormonal imbalances alongside thyroid health, functional pathology interpretation, and gut health.
These areas are interconnected in clinical practice, and addressing them together produces the most meaningful and lasting results.
Thyroid health
Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, subclinical thyroid dysfunction, and nutritional cofactor support for optimal thyroid function.
Gut health
IBS, SIBO, bloating, food intolerances, intestinal permeability, and the gut-hormone connection.
Women's health
Menstrual irregularities, PCOS, PMOS, general & menstrual health for teenage girls, supporting women through the life cycle of puberty, perimenopause and menopause
Fatigue & energy
Nutritional deficiencies, HPA-axis dysfunction, thyroid-related fatigue, and post-viral recovery through targeted nutritional medicine.
Childrens health
Supporting you and your child navigating through food intolerances, allergies, skin issues and gut complaints.
