When your health picture has more than one layer
Some health situations cannot be fully understood in a standard 60-minute window.
If you are managing multiple conditions, a long and complicated health history, or a combination of gut, hormonal, thyroid, and metabolic concerns, the Initial Complex consultation gives us the time to cover it properly.

"I have gut issues AND my hormones are all over the place AND my thyroid came back borderline. Nobody has ever sat down and connected all of this for me."
This appointment is built for exactly this kind of presentation.
What to expect at your first nutritionist appointment
A thorough, unhurried review of your whole health story:
This appointment covers everything relevant to your health, not just the one symptom you came in for. The goal is to understand how different systems in your body are interacting and identify what is driving your experience.
Everything in a standard consultation on a deeper level:
In-depth review of your full health history across multiple body system
Detailed assessment of pathology results, medications, and past treatments
Diet, digestive function, and nutritional status
Lifestyle, sleep, and stress factors
Hormonal history and current symptoms
Functional testing referrals where appropriate
Receive a personalised nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement plan tailored specifically to your findings, not a generic handout.
Simplifying complexity into a clear direction
When multiple systems are involved, it can feel overwhelming. One of the most important things I do in a complex initial is help you understand which areas to prioritise and why. Rather than trying to fix everything at once, you leave with a phased, realistic plan that accounts for where your body is right now.
This appointment is also well suited to clients who have seen multiple practitioners and feel like nobody has brought everything together into one easy to understand picture.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I need the complex initial rather than the standard?
If you are managing two or more health conditions, have a long or complicated health history, or feel like your symptoms cross multiple body systems including gut, hormones, thyroid, or energy, the complex initial is the better fit. If you are unsure, feel free to reach out before booking.
Will I still receive a treatment plan in the same appointment?
Yes. The extra 30 minutes allows for a deeper assessment and a more thorough plan. You will leave with a personalised nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle plan relevant to your findings, along with any recommended testing referrals.
Is this appointment available online?
Yes. Online consultations are available across Australia and are just as thorough as attending in clinic.
Can I see you online if I am not based in Perth?
Yes. Online consultations are available for clients across Australia. The process is the same as an in-clinic appointment and just as thorough.
What conditions do you support in an initial consultation?
This appointment is suitable for complex presentations (usually you are managing 2 or more health conditions or complex symptoms) including digestive health conditions, hormonal symptoms, thyroid issues, fatigue, skin conditions, and weight management. You are still welcome to attend this appointment if you want a deeper evaluation of your health and symptoms.
What should I bring to this appointment??
Bring any recent or historical pathology results (within 6 - 12 months), a list of all current medications and supplements, any previous specialist reports if available and a good idea of dietary intake and habits. The more context you can provide, the more productive the appointment will be.
Do I need to send you pathology results before attending this appointment?
Yes. Please forward me any testing results 1 - 2 weeks prior to your appointment. This allows our clinical nutritionist to full evaluate and assess your health history before seeing you.
